The Chugimago (or Chukyima Go ) is a mountain in the Himalayas in the Rolwaling Himal mountain range .
The 6259 m high Chugimago is located in the Nepalese administrative zone Janakpur . The Chugimago forms the highest point of a mountain group, which is bounded in the north by the Rolwaling valley and in the east by the river valley of the Nupche Khola , a right tributary of the Likhu Khola . The glacial lake Tsho Rolpa is located 4 km north-northeast of the Chugimago . The Ramdung Glacier runs in a westerly direction between the Chugimago and the 2.39 km southwest of the 5925 m high trekking peak Ramdung Go .
Ascent history
The summit was first climbed in 1952 by a British-Nepalese expedition over the west northwest ridge. Expedition participants were Tom MacKinnon, George Roger, Douglas Scott, Tom Weir, Ang Dawa Sherpa, Dawa Tenzing Sherpa and Mingma Sherpa.
The Slovenian Domen Kastelic and the American Sam Hennessey achieved their first ascent of the Chugimago over the west face on the 11th and 12th. October 2014.
