The Ramdung Go (or Ramdung for short ) is a trekking peak in the Himalayas in the Rolwaling Himal mountain range .
The 5925 m high Ramdung Go is located in the Nepalese administrative zone Janakpur .
The Ramdung Go is listed in the Nepal Mountaineering Association's "B" category of climbing peaks . An ascent of the Ramdung Go is often combined with an ascent of the Parchamo ( 6187 m ) and is part of a trek from the remote upper Rolwaling Valley over the 5755 m high Tashi Lapcha high mountain pass to Khumbu . The summit offers a panorama from the mountains of the Langtang Himal in the west to Mount Everest in the northeast. The Ramdung Go also offers a very good view of Gauri Sankar and Melungtse . The best time to travel is September – December and February – May. The standard route to the summit leads over the glaciers on the northeast face.
The summit was first climbed in 1952 by a Scottish expedition led by Bill Murray.
