The Chumo is a mountain in the Assam Himalayas on the border between the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh and the autonomous region of Tibet .
The glaciated mountain has a height of 6890 m . It is located on the McMahon Line in the main Himalayan ridge in an area disputed between India and China. The Chumo is one of the highest mountains in Arunachal Pradesh. The Kangto ( 7090 m ) is 10.5 km west-southwest. The Nyegi Kangsang ( 7047 m ) is 4.97 km northeast. The southern flank of the Chumo lies in the catchment area of the Kameng , while the northern flank is drained via the Subansiri .
