Cihat Ünlü

Cihat Ünlü (* 1955 ) is a Turkish gynecologist .

Ünlü finished his medical studies at the University of Ankara in 1979. He completed his assistantship in 1986 at the University Clinics of Ankara and Hanover in the departments of obstetrics and gynecology. The gynecologist also worked for a while in Germany and specialized in artificial insemination ( in vitro fertilization ), endoscopic surgery and infertility . Ünlü founded and directed the Institute for In Vitro Fertilization at the Medical Faculty of Ankara University. At the same faculty he founded the department for endoscopic surgery in 1993. He represented his country at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and heads the German-Turkish Gynecology Foundation TAJEV. Since 2005 he has been the clinical director of the Acıbadem Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital in Bakırköy . In 2007, as President of the German-Turkish Gynecological Society, he received the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany. Ünlü is a professor in Istanbul .
