The beginning: a craft business in Turin

In 1757 the brothers Giovanni Giacomo and Carlo Stefano Cinzano - qualified master distillers - opened a small shop with an adjoining laboratory in Turin. A separate production and development facility for wine and sparkling wine was later built on the royal estate in Santa Vittoria d'Alba . In the middle of the 19th century, the King of Piedmont-Sardinia commissioned the company to produce a sparkling wine that was on par with French champagne. In addition, the company expanded with an additional location in Santo Stefano Belbo and a branch in Chambéry, France .

industrial production

In 1893 the Cinzano family bought the royal property in Santa Vittoria d'Alba and began industrial production there. The enormous importance of advertising for the economic success of a product had already been recognized. In 1898, Cinzano Vermouth started one of the longest-lasting advertising campaigns in the world: In the edition of "Il Telegrafo" published in Livorno on 8/9 September. December saw the brand's first advertisement printed.

Until the First World War
