The Citigroup Center is a skyscraper in London . It forms part of the Canary Wharf complex in Docklands . The building at 25 Canada Square is the UK headquarters of Citigroup , the world's largest financial services company . It was designed by César Pelli and his architectural office.
With a height of 200 meters and 45 stories, it is the fifth tallest building in Great Britain, together with the HSBC Tower of the same height , only surpassed by The Shard , One Canada Square , Leadenhall Building and Heron Tower . Except for The Shard, all buildings are in close proximity. There is a small shopping center in the basement. Construction began in 1998 and was completed in 2001.
