Ciudad General Escobedo is an industrial city in the Mexican state of Nuevo León . General Escobedo has 352,444 inhabitants (2010 census) and is located in the Zona Metropolitana de Monterrey .
history
The city was founded on April 25, 1604 by José de Treviño. It was not until February 24, 1868 that it was named after General Mariano Escobedo . In 1982 it received city status and was officially allowed to call itself Ciudad General Escobedo.
