Clement Guillon

Clément Joseph Marie Raymond Guillon CIM (born April 27, 1932 in Plessé , Loire-Atlantique , France ; † July 9, 2010 in Redon , Ille-et-Vilaine , Bretagne) was Bishop of Quimper .

Life

Clément Guillon joined the religious order of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary , made his profession on August 15, 1954 and was ordained a priest on May 5, 1957 . He was Superior General of the Congregation from 1971 to 1983. From 1983 to 1988 he was head of the training and further education of priests, members of the religious order and deacons in the diocese of Evry-Corbeil-Essonnes .

Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Quimper on March 17, 1988 . The episcopal ordination took place on April 10 of the same year by the Bishop of Quimper, Francis Barbu ; Co- consecrators were Armand François M. Le Bourgeois CIM, Bishop of Autun , and Guy Herbulot , Bishop of Corbeil . After Francis Jules Joseph Marie Barbus retired , he succeeded him as Bishop of Quimper.

On December 7, 2007, Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
