The Claas Ares is a tractor series from the agricultural machinery manufacturer Claas in Harsewinkel , which was built in the three series Claas Ares 500/600 (1st generation), Claas Ares 500/600 (2nd generation) and Claas Ares 800 .
history
The Claas Ares was first presented in 2003 at the Claas anniversary. The vehicles were produced in the Claas tractor factory in Le Mans . The series was discontinued in 2009. The successor is the Claas Arion .
technology
The Ares 600 is a two-axle tractor with a front and rear rigid axle. The front axle, which is designed as a swing axle, can be equipped with individual wheel suspension on request. The front axle drive can be switched off, and both the front and rear axles can be locked. The drive power is transferred from the engine to a transmission, which is equipped with six automatic powershift stages and four electronically controlled groups and thus has 24 forward and reverse gears. In “super crawling gear” the lowest driving speed is 110 m / h, the highest speed in 24th gear is 40 km / h. Furthermore, the Ares 600 is equipped with a PTO that deals with 540 or 1000 min -1 can rotate. It is switched on via a wet multi-disc clutch. A front PTO was also available on request. The motor is made by DPS and is a series of six cylindrical - diesel engine with turbocharger and an electronically controlled injection. It draws an output of 80.9 kW, 91.9 kW or 103 kW (according to ECE R24) from a displacement of around 6.8 l, depending on the model. The cabin is of the ATZ type and is equipped with air conditioning and a fully suspended seat.
