The Medion is a self-propelled combine harvester from Claas that uses conventional straw walker technology and was produced from 2000 to 2009. There are the models Medion 310 , 320 , 330 and 340 . The models 310, 320 and 330 are largely identical, the 320 and 330 each have a larger grain tank and a more powerful engine. Compared to the 330, the 340 also has a larger grain tank and more powerful engine, as well as a wider threshing drum, an additional shaker, a larger sieve area and a more powerful fan. The Medion was developed for smaller farms and is suitable for different crops and small parcels.

The Medion is a self-propelled straw walker combine. There are cutting units for him from 3.60 m to 9 m working width. The 4.55 m wide header can be folded for transport, so that its width when folded is 3 m and the combine harvester can drive on public roads without dismantling the header. (The folding cutterbar can be seen in the threshing insert in the picture on the right.) There are also rape headers with a cutting width of 3.60 m to 9 m and a six-row maize picker. As standard, the cutting units are equipped with the so-called contour technology, which maintains a contact pressure set by the machine operator so that the cutting unit is evenly pressed onto the ground even if the ground is uneven. Optional is the Auto-Contour technology, which compensates for uneven floors fully automatically. The cutting units have a hydraulic reversing device for unblocking.

The threshing cylinder in flange design is 1,320 mm (310, 320 and 330) or 1,580 mm (340) wide. The concave, which is divided into three segments with openings of different sizes, can be exchanged from the front in order to adjust the thresher to the desired crop. The Medion has five (310, 320 and 330) or six (340) shaker trays open at the bottom, each with a length of 4,400 mm and four shaker drop levels. In order to loosen the straw on the straw walker trays and thus achieve a thinner layer of straw, two tines are attached above each tray.

The fan is a conventional barrel fan (310, 320 and 330) or a quadruple turbine (340) that can be adjusted from the driver's cab. For threshing on slopes, the sieves are optionally available with the so-called 3-D technology, which is intended to evenly distribute the grain to be cleaned on a slope of up to 20% by vibrating uphill. The returns can be viewed from the driver's cab. After threshing, the straw can either be swathed or chopped and spread over the field.

The Medion has a hydrostatic drive that is coupled to a three-speed transmission. The speed can be continuously adjusted in each gear. You can also drive backwards in each gear. The Medion is only available with front-wheel drive. The Medion is powered by an in-line six-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 6.4 liters of the type OM 906 LA with turbocharging and charge air cooling. The engine was throttled by 22% (310), 16% (320) and 14% (330 and 340) for use in the combine.

The cabin is equipped with a pneumatically suspended seat and a foldable passenger seat. An on-board display is available for the Medion, which displays machine data to the driver. It is optionally available with air conditioning, the overhead console is prepared for the subsequent installation of a radio and an FM radio.
