Cladonia pocillum (Ach.) OJ Rich. ( syn. Cladonia pyxidata subsp. pocillum (Ach.) E. Dahl) is a species of lichen from the family of the Cladoniaceae .

features

Macroscopic features

The thallus scales are 1–2 mm wide, gray to brownish and covered with roof tiles, growing on top of each other. The podiums are often small, barked with coarse grains and without soredia . The cup is closed. The apothecia are brown.

Spot reaction

The thallus scales and podia change color from rust-red to red (P +) when they are sprinkled with para-phenylenediamine.
