Clarence Adam Vinson (born July 10, 1978 in Washington, DC ) is a retired American boxer. He won an Olympic bronze bantamweight medal in 2000.

Career

The left-hand boom , just under six feet tall, attended Northern Michigan University and served as a soldier in Fort Collins . In 1986 he started boxing, was US flyweight champion in 1997 and 1998, and US bantamweight champion in 1999. He also won the 1998 American Boxing Classic tournament in Milwaukee , the 1999 US Olympic qualification and the 1999 Continental Olympic qualification in Tampa .

He then started in September 2000 at the 27th Summer Olympic Games in Sydney , where he won the 1996 French Olympian Rachid Bouaita (9: 2), the 1999 Asian Vice Champion Talaibek Kadiraliew from Kyrgyzstan (12: 7) and the reigning World Champion George Olteanu from Romania (26:19) and was only eliminated in the semifinals against the two-time world champion and two-time Olympic champion Guillermo Rigondeaux from Cuba (6:18).

Other international successes were 9th place at the 1997 World Championships in Budapest and 5th place at the 1999 World Championships in Houston .

In 2001 he became a professional under the name "Untouchable". After twelve wins in a row, he lost just on points against Heriberto Ruiz in June 2003. In November 2004 he was defeated in the fight for the Intercontinental Championship of the WBO on points against César Morales. In June 2009 he finished his professional career with 17 wins and 2 losses.
