Claudia Barth

Claudia Barth (born January 28, 1975 in Ulm ) is a former German rower . She won a total of three German championship titles and was third in the 1996 World Cup.

Career

In 1993 Claudia Barth won the Junior World Championships in double sculls . In 1996 she missed the Olympics and instead took part in the world championships in the non-Olympic boat classes. There she won bronze together with Gerte John , Doreen Martin and Lenka Wech in the four without a helmsman and thus her only international medal in the adult class. Two years later she finished eighth in the double scull at the 1998 World Championships in Cologne. In 1999 Claudia Barth moved to eighth and finished sixth at the 1999 World Championships in St. Catharines. At the Olympic Games in 2000 she rowed with Lenka Wech in two without a helmsman and came in sixth.

The 1.83 m tall Claudia Barth started for the Ulm RC Donau . At the German Championships in 1995 she was second in the foursome without a helmsman together with Lenka Wech, Steffi Teichmüller and Stefanie Vogel. In 1996 she was German champion with Gerte John, Doreen Martin and Lenka Wech and in 2000 she was again German champion with Lenka Wech, Anja Pyritz and Johanna Prinz . In 2000 she was also German champion with Lenka Wech in the two-man without a helmsman. In 1995, 1996 and 1999 Claudia Barth was also second in eighth.

In 1997 and 1998 she competed in scull rowing . At the German Championships in 1997 she was second in the single behind Daniela Molle . In 1998 she was third in the double scull with Britta Holthaus and second in the double scull with Britta Holthaus, Kerstin Kowalski and Meike Evers .
