Claudia Hann

Claudia Sabine Hann (* Leverkusen ) is a puppeteer , actress , author and theater director .

Claudia Hann studied philosophy , art , German studies and education at the University of Cologne . In 1989 she passed her state examination for secondary level I and II. Her final theses were "The Faust Puppet Play" and " ETA Hoffmann : Princess Brambilla and Puppet Theater as a Total Work of Art". Claudia Hann also trained as a mezzo-soprano with Else Haarhaus and as an actress in the former Severins-Burgtheater. Since 1989 she has dramatized and developed plays for children and adults and premiered them . From 1992 and 1994 she perfected her acting training during various engagements and in cooperation with independent theaters; as a visual artist, she carried out numerous group and solo exhibitions.

In 1989 she founded the Cassiopeia Theater as a touring theater for puppetry. Since 1995 she has been almost exclusively concerned with the development of this theater. 1999 saw the establishment of the standing Cassiopeia stage as a specialist venue for contemporary puppet and author theater.
