Claudia Winterstein

Claudia Winterstein born Beyer (born March 18, 1950 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and was Parliamentary Managing Director of the FDP parliamentary group from 2009 to 2013 .

Life

education and profession

After High School on humanistic gymnasium Steglitz in Berlin-Steglitz Winterstein trained as a certified business correspondent for English and Spanish . She also completed a PH degree , which she completed with a diploma in education. In 1972 she began working as a business correspondent in the foreign department of a wholesale company. In 1973 she moved to the German Society for the United Nations as a research assistant, and she was the managing director of the Berlin regional association from 1976 to 1979. In addition, from 1977 to 1979 she held teaching positions at the PH Berlin at the chair for educational planning. From 1980 she worked in her husband's architecture office and was a. a. Managing Director of Real Estate Management . In 1984 she received her doctorate as Dr. phil. at the Free University of Berlin with the thesis “Migrant Integration qua Educational Planning? On the theory and practice of school attendance by Turkish children in Berlin (West) ” .

Party career

She has been a member of the FDP since 1980 and was deputy state chairwoman of the Liberal Women of Lower Saxony from 1996 to 2003 . Claudia Winterstein has been a member of the FDP state executive in Lower Saxony since 1994 and has been chairwoman of the FDP district association Hanover- City since 1996 and chairwoman of the FDP district association Hanover- Hildesheim since 2006 .

Member of Parliament

Winterstein was a member of the Hanover City Council from 1991 to 1996 and from 2001 to 2002. From 1995 to 1996 she was deputy chairwoman and from 2001 to 2002 chairwoman of the FDP parliamentary group.

From 2002 to 2013 she was a member of the German Bundestag . Here she was spokeswoman for the FDP parliamentary group for film policy and chairwoman of the budget working group. Claudia Winterstein was a member of the budget committee and chairwoman of the FDP parliamentary group in the audit committee. She was also a deputy member of the committee for culture and media.

Claudia Winterstein always entered the Bundestag via the Lower Saxony state list .

On October 26th, 2009 Winterstein was elected by the parliamentary group of the FDP as parliamentary manager .

For the general election in 2013 Winterstein did not occur again.

Private

Claudia Winterstein has been married since 1982 and has one son.
