Claudio Bisio (born March 19, 1957 in Novi Ligure ) is an Italian actor , cabaret artist , singer and author.

Life

Bisio attended the Civica Scuola d'Arte Drammatica of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano and made his debut in 1981 in Gabriele Salvatores ' production of A Midsummer Night's Dream . Bisio remained artistically connected to the director for many years. Bisio, with a massive stature and imposing bald head, was featured in plays such as A Class Enemy , Accidental Death of an Anarchist by Dario Fo and his own Café Procope by the late 1980s , before doing a successful series of solo pieces between 1990 and 1995 who showed him as a cabaret artist speaking in a Lombard accent, giving satirical comments on politics and society. In the cinema, Bisio had made his breakthrough after minor roles at the beginning of his career with the interpretation of the soldier Novento, who was always ready to flee, in Gabriele Salvatores' Mediterraneo , which he underpinned with Puerto Escondido by the same director, shot the following year . He became a popular performer of remarkable characters, which he was able to keep in the new millennium. You can find him on the cast list of some of the most successful domestic comedies since 2000.

Bisio was on screen in the 1988 sitcom Zanzibar ; five years later he presented Cielito lindo . He was also active as a musician and released several records that also achieved chart success. "Rapput", which he recorded with Rocco Tanica , was at the top of the charts in Italy for eleven weeks. He also cooperated on various projects such as a homage for Frank Zappa in 2003 or five years later with the band Elio e le Storie Tese . As a voice actor Bisio u. a. heard in Italian versions of animated films. Between 1993 and 2008 four books were published showing him as an author.
