Claudius Osei

Claudius Osei (born June 20, 1980 in Hamburg ) is a former German American football player of Ghanaian descent.

career

Osei grew up in the Hamburg districts of Lurup and Eidelstedt , he attended high school on Dörpsweg . He was involved in kickboxing , soccer and athletics , and when he was 16 he joined the Hamburg Blue Devils , having played American football for a short time at the age of twelve, but stopped because there was no team for his age group. In the 1998 and 1999 seasons he was part of the Hamburg Bundesliga squad, so he was a teammate of his older brother Padmore and participated in the two Eurobowl victories in 1998 and 1999. In 1998, Osei, who was a Ghanaian and then a German citizen until he was 18, played for the first time in the German national team.

In 1999 Osei went to the United States , played football for a year at the North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee, and was on the Florida State University team from 2000 to 2004 while studying real estate and business administration.

In the game years 2005 and 2006 Osei was in his hometown with the Hamburg Sea Devils under contract and played a total of 15 games for the team in the NFL Europe .

In 2005 he was on the training roster of the NFL team Tampa Bay Buccaneers and in 2006 the New York Giants .

He was used during his career in the positions of rover, defensive back , wide receiver and safety.
