Claudius Schikora
Claudius Schikora (born May 28, 1972 in Munich ) is a German economist , university professor , business angel , internet entrepreneur and author. He has been President of the University of Applied Management (HAM) since 2013 . His teaching and research areas include marketing and media management as well as corporate management .
Career
Schikora studied business administration with a focus on marketing and finance at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After studying business administration, Schikora began his career at Procter & Gamble Germany as a business development manager .
In 1999 he moved into the new economy and was Business Development Manager at Europe's largest e-commerce - Startup of boo.com Group , which eventually in the course of the bursting of the dot-com bubble bankruptcy went.
Schikora then worked for the Bavaria Film Group as managing director of the New Media subsidiary. The end of 2001 he joined the Siemens Group to Siemens Business Services as a consultant in the areas of e-business and mobile business .
In 2006 he started his own business and founded the online company MediKompass.de. The platform was established as a search engine for price comparisons of medical services and goods. In 2008 the founders sold their shares to the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group . In 2010, Schikora was obliged by the new owners of MediKompass GmbH to undertake a return campaign and, as a board member, led the holding company MediNavi AG to the stock exchange .
He then founded two other companies and is still active as a business angel and invests in start-ups. Furthermore, he sits on several supervisory boards, including a. at the Dr. Müller Diamantmetall AG and Cancom Pironet AG.
Schikora has been the university president of the University of Applied Management since 2013 , where he has been professor for marketing, sales management, media management, entrepreneurship and corporate management since 2005 .
