Life

Nothing has survived about the life of Claus Strigel and his relationship to Bernhard Strigel and Ivo Strigel . Only one work, the Memminger Altar, which is now in the Frauenkirche in Munich, bears his signature . Another reredos from Chur , which is now in the Historical Museum in Basel , is attributed to him. He never reached the quality of other masters at the Memmingen School . His works have a very similar style to Bernhard Strigel's early works.
