Aaron Clayworth (born March 21, 1985 in Perth , Western Australia ) is a former Australian ice hockey player who played for various clubs in the Australian Ice Hockey League .
Career
Aaron Clayworth began his career as a hockey player in England with the Milton Keynes Kings , for whom he was active in the English U19 league. After playing in the following years with the Australian youth teams Adelaide Blackhawks and the Perth Hawks , Clayworth was on the ice from 2007 to 2012 with the Canberra Knights in the Australian Ice Hockey League . During the free time in the southern hemisphere summer 2007/08 he also played for Forssan Palloseura in Suomi-sarja , the third-highest division in Finland. When the Canberra Knights had to cease playing for financial reasons after the 2012 season, Clayworth initially interrupted his career. In the seasons 2014 and 2015 he played for CBR Brave , the successor club of the Knights based in the suburb of Phillip, again in the Australian Ice Hockey League and was there in 2015 also assistant coach. After this season he ended his career.
International
For Australia Clayworth took part in the junior division of the U20 World Junior Championship Division III 2004 and the U20 World Junior Championship Division II 2005 . At the U20 World Cup in 2004, he and his team were promoted to Division II.
In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2007 , 2008 and 2011 and in Division I in 2012 .
