history
In 1881 the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad built the first depot on the site where it is today. The local newspaper, the Clearwater Record , was founded in 1901. There has been a telephone connection in the village since 1902 and a sewage system was set up in 1953.
