The Clearwater Lake is a lake in the western Canadian province of Manitoba .
The lake is located 20 km north of the city of The Pas on the Saskatchewan River in the 593 km² provincial park of the same name . Clearwater Lake is a roughly circular lake approximately 10 miles in diameter. Its mean water depth is 13.1 m, the maximum depth is 39 m.
The lake was created by a meteorite similar to the meteorite impact in the Nördlinger Ries . Another meteorite later struck in the immediate vicinity. It has no noteworthy tributaries and flows off to the northeastern neighboring Cormorant Lake .
In addition to the American char , pike and herring whitefish are also caught in Clearwater Lake . In winter, in addition to these fish species, burbot is also ice-fished .
