Clevner
Clevner (also: Klevner , locally also Clävner or Klävner , from Cleven, the former German name of Chiavenna ) is a grape variety name with the following locally and regionally different meanings:
- In the Swiss Lake Zurich area and in German Baden : Blue Pinot Noir , Pinot Noir ;
- in the German Württemberg : Blauer Frühburgunder ;
- in Ortenau in Baden : Gewürztraminer or red Traminer;
- in Austria , especially in Styria: Pinot Blanc , Pinot Blanc, Pinot blanc;
- in Alsace, France : Pinot Blanc, Pinot Blanc;
- in Slovakia : the wine-producing village Radošina uses the name Klevner ( Radošinský Klevner, loosely translated as Klevner from Radošina ) for its blend of Pinot Gris (Pinot Gris) and Pinot Blanc (Pinot blanc). The wine (born in 1947) was served at the coronation of Elizabeth II .
