Clifford Dupont
Clifford Dupont (born December 6, 1905 in London , England , † June 28, 1978 in Salisbury , Rhodesia ) was a Rhodesian politician, member of the Rhodesian Front and from 1970 to 1975 first Rhodesian President . Dupont emigrated to Southern Rhodesia as early as 1948 and, after the unilateral declaration of independence from Great Britain, served between 1965 and 1970 in his position as "Officer Administering the Government" as the nominal representative of the British Crown.
