The Clingman Peak is a 2,150 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises from the end of the south face of Priestley Glacier at its head end.
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1969 after the American biologist Otis Clingman Jr. (* 1928), who worked on the McMurdo station from 1965 to 1966 .
