The Clyde River (also River Clyde ) is a river in the center of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river arises in the Interlaken settlement between the two lakes Lake Sorell and Lake Crescent . It leaves Lake Crescent to the west and flows southwest through the towns of Bothwell , where it passes under the Lake Highway (A5), and Hamilton , where it passes under the Lyell Highway (A10). A few kilometers further it flows into Meadowbank Lake and thus into the Derwent River .
The catchment area of the river covers 1,120 km² and is used for agriculture.
