Coca-Cola Amatil ( acronym for A llied M anufacturing a nd t rade I ndustries L imited , abbreviated CCA.) Is an Australian bottling company headquartered in North Sydney .
Products
CCA is the second largest beverage bottler in Australia after the Fosters brewery , which fills the brands Coca Cola , Nestea , Powerade , Jim Beam , Rémy Martin , Cointreau and Absolut Vodka under license . The company also produces canned fruit and vegetables, as well as snacks.
With its products, CCA only supplies Australia and New Zealand also areas of the so-called "Pacific Rim" ( Papua New Guinea , Indonesia , Samoa and Fiji ) and in Europe the countries of Austria , Hungary , Czech Republic , Ukraine , Croatia and Slovakia , making it next to the Hellenic Bottling Company one of the largest licensed bottlers for Coca-Cola.
history
The company's history goes back to the founding of the British Tobacco Company (Australia) in 1904. In 1973 it was renamed Allied Manufacturing and Trade Industries Limited and in 1977 it was renamed AMaTIL. The final name change to Coca-Cola AMaTIL (CCA) took place in 1989, when the group also parted with its tobacco production. The company currently (2013) has around 16,000 employees. In October 2017, CCA acquired Baskerville- based Feral Brewing.
