Metro Squash Windy City Open 2013

The 2013 Metro Squash Windy City Open was held from January 31 to February 3, 2013 in Chicago , Illinois , United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2012/13 and belonged to the International 25 category . At the same time the Swedish Open took place in Linköping .

The defending champion was Saurav Ghosal , who did not run again this year. In the final, the two top seeded players Borja Golán from Spain and Stephen Coppinger from South Africa faced each other. Golán prevailed over Coppinger with 5:11, 11: 8, 11: 6 and 11: 6 and won his 26th career title. It was the third meeting of Golán and Coppinger, the first two games Golán won with 3-0 and 3-2 respectively.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 26,260.
