Cofina is a Portuguese media holding company . The company is based in Porto .
Company history
The company was founded in 1995 and has been listed on the Portuguese stock exchange, the Bolsa de Valores , since 1998 . An original focus of the company was on pulp and paper production , alongside activities in other areas, including media . After purchasing various print media titles , such as the daily Correio da Manhã in 2001 and the television guide TV Guia in 2002 , all company divisions apart from the media division were spun off in 2005. Since then, Cofina has been regarded as the market leader in the field of print media in Portugal, with a total annual circulation of all titles of 75 million.
