Colin Eric Innes Pocock (born June 11, 1972 in Salisbury , Rhodesia ) is a South African beach volleyball player .
Career
Colin Pocock played his first international tournament in 1996 in Durban with his brother Andrew Pocock . In 2004 he returned to the world series with his new partner Gershon Rorich and finished 17th at the Cape Town Open. The South African duo finished three more open tournaments in 25th place. In addition, Rorich / Pocock played three Grand Slams in Berlin, Marseille and Klagenfurt . Rorich / Pocock qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . In the preliminary round they get two wins against opponents from Greece and Portugal; only against the Argentine Baracetti / Conde they suffered a defeat and qualified as second in the group for the round of 16. There they had to face the Australians Prosser / Williams and finished the Olympic tournament in ninth place. In 2007 he still played the Manama Open with Ralph Thompson .
