Mariano "Mono" Baracetti (born July 12, 1974 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is a former Argentinian beach volleyball player and world champion.

Career

After two tournaments with Fabio Perez, Baracetti changed his partner in 1996. With José Salema he formed a beach volleyball team until 2000. In the last year of their collaboration, the two competed at the Summer Olympics in Sydney and previously won the FIVB tournament in Mar del Plata , the birthplace of Martín Conde , with which Mariano Baracetti achieved the world championship title in Klagenfurt in 2001 . The two Argentinians also won three other FIVB titles.

Baracetti / Conde became FIVB Tour Champion in 2002. They played together at the Olympic Games in 2004 and 2008 and achieved ninth place as the best placement in the beach volleyball competitions in Athens . In 2008, Mariano Baracetti played most tournaments with his former partner Salema with a third place in Sanya in China as the best result, in 2009 the two South Americans played together for the entire season and came in ninth at their last joint tournament in Stare Jabłonki in Poland Top ten placement.
