At the time of the 2000 United States Census, College Station was inhabited by 766 people. The population density was 264.1 people per km 2 . There were 309 housing units, an average of 106.5 per km 2 . The population in College Station consisted of 1.48% of White , 95.78% Black or African American , 0.13% Native American , 0.78% Asian , 0% Pacific Islander , 0% said other races to belong and 1.83% named two or more races. 0.78% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
The residents of College Stations were distributed among 260 households out of which 23.1% had children under the age of 18. 26.5% of households were married, 32.7% had a female head of household without a husband, and 32.4% were not families. 30.68% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 10.4% of all households aged 65 years or older.
