The collegium_rutheneum [1608] is a mixed vocal ensemble that consists of members of the concert choir of the Goethegymnasium / Rutheneum Gera , who change every year . It usually occurs when the entire concert choir cannot be used, but it also organizes its own concerts.
The ensemble was founded in 2010 by Christian Frank, who is also today's musical director.

- Concert for the Sunday of the Dead 2016 with Heinrich Schütz´ Musical Exequien in Weimar and Niebra as well as in the Rutheneum Gera
- Concert for the Sunday of the Dead 2017 with Heinrich Schütz´ Musical Exequien in Artern and Wünschendorf
The collegium_rutheneum performs at school-internal concerts, but also regularly at concerts by the concert choir of the Goethegymnasium / Rutheneum Gera and serves as a separate chamber choir when performing multi-choir pieces. On projects, the ensemble occasionally works with professional guest singers or instrumentalists, but it is not uncommon for the soloists to come from their own ranks.
