Colombo , officially Portuguese Município de Colombo , is a city in the Brazilian state of Paraná . It is 18 km from Curitiba, the capital of the state, and is about 950 meters above sea level. In 2010 there were 212,967 people in Colombo on 198 km², who are called Colombians . It is the city in Paraná with the highest percentage of Italian immigrants.

Colombo belongs to the metropolitan region and the microregion of the state capital Curitiba , the Mesorregião Metropolitana de Curitiba and the Microrregião de Curitiba .

In the local elections in 2012, Izabete Cristina Pavin , called Beti Pavin , was elected city prefect.
