The Commanda Glacier is a steep glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range it flows from Mount Newall in an easterly direction to the south side of Ponder Peak . It flows west of Sagittate Hill into the lower section of the Newall Glacier .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1998. It is named after a high-frequency repeater with the model designation Commanda , which was installed on nearby Mount Newall for the radio communication of New Zealand field research teams.
