Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2013 through the merger of the predecessor organizations Communauté de communes des Vertes Vallées and the Communauté de communes du Val de Gy .

On January 1, 2017, the community association was merged with the Communauté de communes de l'Atrébatie and parts of the Communauté de communes des Deux Sources to form the newly founded Communauté de communes des Campagnes de l'Artois . Notwithstanding this, the communities of Basseux , Boiry-Saint-Martin , Boiry-Sainte-Rictrude , Ficheux , Ransart and Rivière joined the Communauté urbaine d'Arras .
