Duisans is a French commune with 1,309 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Arras and the canton of Avesnes-le-Comte (until 2015: canton of Dainville ). The inhabitants are called Duisanais .

geography

Duisans is located about six kilometers west-northwest of the city center of Arras on the Gy River , a tributary of the Scarpe (French Scarpe ). Duisans is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Étrun and Marœuil in the north, Anzin-Saint-Aubin in the northeast, Arras in the east, Dainville in the south, Warlus in the southwest and Agnez-lès-Duisans in the west.

Route nationale 25 runs along the eastern edge of the municipality .
