Achiet-le-Petit is a commune in the French Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Bapaume in the Arrondissement of Arras . It borders in the northwest with Ablainzevelle , in the northeast with Courcelles-le-Comte , in the east with Achiet-le-Grand , in the southeast with Bihucourt (point of contact) and Grévillers , in the south with Irles , in the southwest with Miraumont and in the west with Bucquoy .

The Paris – Lille line passes Achiet-le-Petit in the south-east. Achiet train station is located in Achiet-le-Grand.

Military cemetery

The local military cemetery was created after the Battle of the Somme during World War I for 1,314 Germans who fell. It contains individual graves, each with a metal cross. See also list of war cemeteries in France .
