Amplier is a French municipality with 302 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Arras and Avesnes-le-Comte (until 2015: Canton Pas-en-Artois ). The inhabitants are called Ampliois .
geography
Amplier is located about 20 miles southwest of downtown Arras on the Authie River . Amplier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Grouches-Luchuel in the north, Halloy in the northeast, Orville in the east, Terramesnil in the south and Doullens and Authieule in the west.
