Fampoux is five kilometers east of Arras city center on the canalized Scarpe . Fampoux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gavrelle in the north and northeast, Rœux in the east, Pelves in the southeast, Monchy-le-Preux in the south, Feuchy in the west and southwest and Athies in the west and northwest.
