Hermies is a French commune with 1,180 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Arras and the Canton of Bapaume (until 2015: Canton Bertincourt ). The inhabitants are called Herminois .

geography

Hermies is about 15 kilometers west-southwest of Cambrai on the Canal du Nord . Hermies is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Doignies and Boursies in the north, Havrincourt in the east, Ruyaulcourt in the south, Bertincourt in the south-west and Beaumetz-lès-Cambrai in the west and north-west.
