Bertincourt is a municipality in France . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Pas-de-Calais department and the Arrondissement Arras . It was the main town (chief lieu) of the canton of Bertincourt and was converted to the canton of Bapaume by the reorganization of the French cantons in 2015 . It borders on Haplincourt to the northwest , Vélu to the north, Beaumetz-lès-Cambrai and Hermies to the northeast, Ruyaulcourt to the east, Ytres and Bus to the south and Barastre to the southwest . The residents call themselves Bertincourtois.
