Monchy-le-Preux is three kilometers southwest of the city center of Arras . Monchy-le-Preux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fampoux and Pelves in the north, Boiry-Notre-Dame in the east, Vis-en-Artois in the south-east, Guémappe in the south, Wancourt in the south and south-west and Feuchy in the west and north-west.
The A1 autoroute leads through the municipality .
history
In the Battle of Arras (1917) there was considerable fighting between the German, British and Canadian troops.
