Guillaume-Marie-Joseph Cardinal Labouré (born October 27, 1841 in Achiet-le-Petit near Arras , † April 21, 1906 in Rennes ; also Joseph-Marie-Guillaume Labouré or Joseph-Guillaume Labouré ) was a French clergyman, bishop and Cardinal of the Roman Church . From 1893 until his death he was Archbishop of Rennes .

Life

Labouré attended the Saint-Sulpice seminary in Paris. On September 23, 1865 he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Arras . There he worked as a teacher and head of the Small Seminary and as vicar general .

On 27 March 1885 he was appointed Bishop of Le Mans selected and received on 31 May 1885 in the institution Richelieu in Luçon the episcopal ordination by Guillaume Meignan , Archbishop of Tours ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Luçon Clovis Catteau and Désire Donnel , Bishop of Arras.
