Karl Albert von Longueval (* 1607 ; † March 29, 1663 in Mons ) was 3rd Count von Bucquoy , Baron de Vau (l) x, Grandee of Spain , Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece and royal Spanish governor (Grand-Bailli) the county of Hainaut .

Life

His parents were Charles Bonaventure de Longueval , 2nd Count of Bucquoy, and his wife Magdalene von Biglia from Milan .

He owned extensive estates in Bohemia and the Spanish Netherlands , such as Bucquoy , Achiet-le-Petit , Vaulx , Puisieux , Gratzen , Rosenberg , Libiegitz , and Farciennes . In 1637 he built a castle in Farciennes. He was the Spanish governor of Hainaut and governor of Valenciennes ; he was also general of the artillery and general of the cavalry .

family

Longueval was married to Maria Philippine Wilhelmine de Croy , Comtesse de Solre. She was the daughter of Johann Baptist de Croy and Johanna de Lalaing, Countess of Conde.

The couple had eight children including:
