The Communauté de communes des Mynes et Hautes-Vosges du sud is a former communauté de communes ( Communauté de communes ) of five municipalities in the Département Vosges in Lorraine . The name refers to the geographical location in the southern High Vosges and the mining operations in the region (mynes = mines). Until March 2007 the association was called Communauté de communes du Val de Rupt et Thillot .

The municipal association had 11,313 inhabitants (2006) on 111.41 km², which corresponded to a population density of 102 inhabitants / km².

The seat of the association was the small town of Le Thillot . With the exception of Le Ménil, all member communities were located on the upper Moselle in the Vosges Mountains .

The local authority association was founded on December 5th, 2006 in order to pool the material resources of the local authorities and to coordinate economic development.

With effect from January 1, 2013, the community federation merged with the Communauté de communes des Ballons des Hautes Vosges et de la Source de la Moselle , thus forming the new Communauté de communes des Ballons des Hautes-Vosges .
