The Communauté de communes du Hattgau et environs was a concentration ( Communauté de communes ) of municipalities in the French department of Bas-Rhin of the region Alsace .

history

precursor

The name and association of the association were based on the historic Hattgau region . This has been attested since the Middle Ages . The historical Hattgau may have been even more extensive beforehand. The Hattgau was characterized by a special constitutional structure: the farmers were organized as a cooperative and had distinctive freedom and court privileges.

Community

The Communauté de communes du Hattgau et environs existed since December 27, 2001 and merged with the Communauté de communes du Soultzerland with effect from January 1, 2014 to form the new Communauté de communes de l'Outre-Forêt . The association was based in Hatten .
