The Communauté de communes du Pays de Senones was a communauté de communes of 13 municipalities in the Vosges department in Lorraine .

The local authority association founded on June 18, 1998 had 8,988 inhabitants (2008) on 145.89 km², which corresponds to a population density of 62 inhabitants per km². The seat of the association was the municipality of Senones .

The Communauté de communes du Pays de Senones is located in the western Vosges in southeast Lorraine. All member municipalities belong to the canton of Senones . Five other municipalities in the canton of Senones had already merged in 1992 to form the Vallée du Hure municipal association . The entire area of ​​the Pays de Senones community is drained by the Rabodeau and its tributaries. The Meurthe forms the western border, the ridge of the Vosges the eastern border of the association area. At 938 m above sea level, the highest point is reached in the northeast of the municipality of Moussey. The Col du Hantz pass (641 m) leads into the Alsatian Breuschtal . 76% of the area of ​​the association is forested.

The municipal association was created to bundle the material resources of the municipalities and to coordinate economic development. The area of ​​responsibility of the municipal association includes spatial planning and economic development. The Communauté de communes du Pays de Senones has also set itself the goal of promoting tourism (creation and maintenance of hiking trails, mountain bike trails and cross-country ski trails) as well as in the areas of environmental protection (restoration and renaturation of waters, restoration of pasture and Fruit-growing areas, waste management), cultural, sports and educational institutions and social policy (including childcare) to work closely together. In addition, the aim is to promote the preservation of the cultural heritage with funds (renovation of wells, calvaries, crossroads, chapels and lavoirs).

On January 1, 2014, the municipal association merged with the two municipal associations Ban d'Étival and Vallée du Hure to form the new association Pays des Abbayes .
