The Communauté de communes du Pays des Abbayes is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region . It was founded on January 1, 2014 and comprised 20 parishes. The administrative seat was in Senones .

Historical development

The community association was created in 2014 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Pays de Senones ,
• Communauté de communes du Ban d'Étival and the
• Communauté de communes de la Vallée du Hure .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

• Communauté de communes de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges ,
• Communauté de communes Fave, Meurthe, Galilée ,
• Communauté de communes des Hauts Champs ,
• Communauté de communes de la Vallée de la Plaine and
• Communauté de communes du Val de Neuné

and thus formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges . Despite the similarity of the name to one of the predecessor organizations, it is a new establishment with a different legal personality.
