The Communauté de communes de la Vallée de la Plaine is a former French community association with the legal form of a Communauté de communes . It was founded on December 31, 1996 and comprised nine parishes. The administrative seat was in Raon-l'Étape . The association worked across departments and united six municipalities from the Vosges department and three municipalities from the Meurthe-et-Moselle department .
Historical development
With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged
- Communauté de communes de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges ,
- Communauté de communes Fave, Meurthe, Galilée ,
- Communauté de communes du Pays des Abbayes ,
- Communauté de communes des Hauts Champs and
- Communauté de communes du Val de Neuné
and thus formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges . Despite the similarity of the name to one of the predecessor organizations, it is a new establishment with a different legal personality.
